My approach

I provide a safe, gentle and non-judgemental space to talk. As a humanistic integrative counsellor, I accept that as individuals we are all unique and have different needs when seeking therapy and support. I believe that it is ultimately the relationship between the client and therapist that is fundamental for a trusting, understanding and safe therapeutic alliance and this allows for the opportunity to explore your feelings, emotions, relationships, ways of thinking and patterns of behaviour.

Making the decision to approach therapy or counselling can be a positive step. It can help to gain a greater understanding to find the resources to make changes. It can also lead to self-discovery and self-awareness to live a more fulfilling life and to have more meaningful interpersonal relationships. You may be deciding to seek therapy because you are feeling low or in distress, or that you are confused with painful feelings that you do not understand, but you may also be coming from a place of curiosity. I am here to guide you through this process.

I am passionate about the benefits of counselling in exploring and understanding ourselves in both past and present relationships and the core of my work is always underpinned by the principles of empathy, congruence and unconditional positive regard.

Training, qualifications and experience

I have a Diploma and Advanced Diploma in Humanistic Integrative Counselling and I trained at CPPD London. The Advanced Diploma course was accredited by the BACP.

I have additional qualifications in Understanding HIV & Aids (City and Guilds) and Sexual Health Training (OCN).

For a number of years, I volunteered at The Terrence Higgins Trust (THT), helping people living with or affected by HIV. Additionally, I volunteered at East London Out Project (ELOP) offering counselling to those who identified as LGBTQ+. I now work in private practice in Holborn and Hertford.
